June 14-17 & June 21-24 The Production Camp will create a Team that will compete at our ISI competition In July. This will be a wonderful way for your young skater to compete with teammates in a fun relaxed situation. Team members will commit to becoming an Ice Skating Institute individual member and to compete in the ISI Bear Paw competition in July on the Production Team. "Extra" roles are also available for all levels of skaters. The Production Camp fee is $120. Includes camp days of June 14, 15, 16 & 17 and June 21, 22, 23 and 24 (Monday-Thursday for 2 weeks). Camp is from 11:00am-12:45pm each day. There will be one additional on ice practice on July 7 at 8:45-9:30am. Additional Fees for the Production Team:
All Learn To Skate students (Youth, Tots, Adults) are invited to join in the fun of the Harry J. McDonald Memorial Center's Christmas Recital. This year's event will be held on Saturday, December 18th. The event will include a Learn To Skate Recital and a family Leisure Skate Christmas Party.
The Ice Skating Institute (ISI) is a national organization geared towards recreational ice skating. Membership in the ISI is open to any skater at any level. In addition to offering Learn-To-Skate classes, the ISI holds competitions all over the world. The emphasis in these competitions is on participation. The McDonald Center holds an ISI competition in July in conjunction with the Bear Paw Festival. These competitions are open to skaters from Tots 3 to Freestyle 10. Skaters compete against skaters of the same level and age in individual events and team events. Team members are wanted for the ISI Team Competition to be held at the McDonald Center in Eagle River in July. The team also competes in Wasilla's "Skatefest" in March 2011 and in Soldotna's "Riverskate" in April 2011. Give the rink a call and see how easy it is for you to participate.
